 Natureworks is found in downtown Ganges (opposite Tourist Info) at 116 Lower Ganges Road It is a natural, vibrant grocery store that follows a strong set of values – if only all grocery stores were like this one. A mini, locally run and operated Whole Foods – only better!

Take kayaking lessons or a guided tour to some of the local mini-islands!

Visit The Saturday Market Salt Spring Island Saturday Market
(from Easter until the end of October (check for exact dates). Buy fruit/veg/bread/cakes/pies/fudge/jam, soap/natural beauty products, arts, crafts and much much more!!!) Only residents of Salt Spring are allowed to sell home made products on the market. Downtown Ganges in Centennial Park. Go early to avoid crowds.

Take a picnic to Ruckle Point Park Ruckle Park Salt Spring Island
Eat on the beach before taking a hike around this fabulous Park and visiting the heratage farmstead. Note that unfortunately following a number of incidents with off leash dogs and livestock dogs are not allowed in most of the park.

Go up Mount Maxwell Mount Maxwell Salt Spring Island
Well worth a trip to the top for the fabulous views over Fulford Valley.   There is somethings resembling a road to the top – its can be rocky and pot-holy so take it easy – but you will be rewarded with easy hiking and amazing views from the top.  More information here.
Visit Beddis Beach Beddis Beach Salt Spring Island
Visit the small but delightful Beddis Beach– at the end of Beddis Road.   The closest thing to a sand beach on Salt Spring and surprisingly quiet most of the time. Take a picnic, take a book and ff you are feeling brave you could even try a swim.
